I am a Democratic candidate in the 2008 election for the sole Congressional Seat in Delaware. Since my 2006 campaign, I've continued traveling across the state talking with Delaware families and listening to your concerns. I've been truly humbled by the outpouring of support from so many people across our great state and am honored that so many of you urged me to once again run for this seat.

In our conversations, it is clear you are looking for real leadership - leadership that will stand up for what truly matters - not just a lot of grandiose talk and political posturing, and most certainly not just a "rubber stamp" for the President. I want to take real solutions and common sense ideas straight from the people of Delaware to the halls of Congress.

Congress has grown out of touch with the hearts and minds of the people who put them there. They aren't providing the leadership Delaware wants and deserves. I'm running to offer the voters of Delaware a choice - and an opportunity. An opportunity to rethink our leadership, reclaim our government and reach our goals.

The road to progress and change is a long and difficult one, but I assure you that we can meet the challenges ahead. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." Well, I'm ready to take that first step and hope you will be right there beside me along the way.

Together, we can take the necessary steps that will make a real difference by bringing competence, progressive values, and common sense solutions to Congress, as well as, restore faith in the hearts and minds of Delaware and our country.
